Background
The Goldendoodle! Probably one of the most popular mixed breeds in the U.S. Mixed with a Golden Retriever and Poodle, they were bred within the 1990s. This lovable dog was bred as a bigger version to other poodle mixes, as well as to be a more hypoallergenic dog, by not shedding so much.
Their look
Depending on the Poodle parent size, Goldendoodles can come in miniature, average, and large. They come in a variety of coat colors that include black, white, brown, red, and apricot. Their fur is a combination of the Retriever and Poodle, as it’s shaggy with a bit of curl.
Personality
These dogs are cute and full of energy! This mixed breed has the best of both parents. They’re friendly, silly, loyal, and very social. These dogs are great for first time owners and families. Training them is very easy, as they’re highly intelligent. They can be a handful, so basic training and socialization should begin at a young age.
Health
Standing at 13-24 in. and weighing between 15-90 lbs, Goldendoodles are generally a healthy breed. Although they may suffer from some of the common health conditions just like any other dog breed.
