The Maltipoo! This cute and loveable dog is mixed with a Maltese and a toy Poodle. One of the primary reasons the Maltipoo was created was to have a more hypoallergenic breed. Although a dog cannot be 100% hypoallergenic, the Maltipoo sheds very little which makes grooming and house cleaning a breeze.
Their look
Speaking of fur, the Maltipoo coat is a mix of both parents. Their coat is soft and fluffy to the touch. Depending on the inherited genes, they’ll either have a wavy/shaggy look or a more curly look. They can also have a variety of coat colors, which include white, brown, apricot, & black.
Personality
Maltipoos are very smart and love to please, which makes training super fun and easy! This mixed breed is friendly and can adapt to any type of home environment, making them great for first time owners. Although they are fond of cuddling and don’t require much exercise, Maltipoos love to play any chance they can get!
Health
Standing at 8-14 in. and weighing between 5-20 lbs, Maltipoos are generally a healthy breed. Although they may suffer from some of the common health conditions just like any other small dog breed.
